FS-1946 Trophy from the estate of USA Softball hofer Vincent "Wee" Devitt
So I recently acquired several items from the estate of Vincent "Wee" Devitt
Wee is a member of the USA (ASA) softball hall of fame... He is best known for his time with the Raybesto (also an employee) brakettes and Cardinals (men's team)... The Brakettes are arguably the best Women's Softball team in the US, and Wee's managerial record of 370-39 netted him a hall of fame bid...
he was an employee of Raybestos and Sikorsky aircraft and managed both teams...
The First lot available is a trophy roughly 15 inches high (bake-o-light like base is 4 inches and has some cracking)
Trophy Reads: "Sol Mooney presents Vincent Wee Devitt 1946 award for outstanding manager and sportsman" Trophy could use a new base and a cleaning...Whats interesting is that Sol Mooney was a former professional basketball player, but was well known for owning "Mooney's Sport shop" in Bridgeport which later sold to Herman's sporting good...
Cool piece from a softball hall of famer as a recepient & equally as coll as it was gifted by a former professional athlete
Looking for $75 pp gift
