Yep. Red Hoff was the last surviving deadball era player, and the oldest living major leaguer. The second batter he faced in his career was Ty Cobb, and Red struck him out.
In addition, with the possible exception of a couple of Negro League players whose birth dates were unclear, I believe Red Hoff was the longest-living American pro athlete.
