I have to imagine whatever kid pulled that from a pack 60 years ago was saying, "Never heard of this guy!" Who would have believed just 20 years later the player on this card would break baseball's greatest record!
Here was the All-Time Home Runs leaderboard going into the 1954 season--the 500 Club had only three members! And unless you go back a long, long ways as a fan, I think #5 will shock you!
