One of my July pick-ups, a 1900 football plaque from Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia that I discovered in an antique shop in Adamstown, PA. Carlton Hendricks had posted pictures of the plaque back in 2011 when he saw it at Brimfield. It took me a few weeks to research the plaque and figure out what its purpose was. In the process I learned quite a bit about the evolution of sports in American boarding schools in the 19th century. Check out the story at:
