I think that even a $6/$250 max/30 day would have been a better splash to kick start their Gold Club and gain some market share. I mean they are grading the condition of a piece of cardboard, regardless of value. We pay the return insurance so there is no liability there. For a $250 threshold I believe they would have seen a large increase in submissions.
This is great for some. T206Collector contemplating sending a large number of low value T206 cards makes sense to him at $5.
I agree that the $8 autograph authentication is a nice deal if that is your thing.
Just disappointed that before the Gold Club they ran specials for $6-8 per with a $100 threshold and no membership was required. So by becoming a Gold Club Member you get a few vouchers plus you can send the same cards for a couple dollar discount over their previous specials.
Their Non Member $50/2 day special is probably something I would never have a use for.
