No doubt that the Hassan WIlhelm is what drove the price up of this lot.
It's a pretty hard card to find.

A few of the other cards look nice from a glance, if not trimmed they look higher grade than your run of the mill T205. Like Raymond for example, that could be pretty expensive if it's full size and as clean as it looks from my quick view.

Same with Bresnahan mouth open, looks pretty good and would be maybe 250-300 pretty easily. Graded 5/6 or better it could go much higher. Others look really nice from a distance.

So the buyer got a pretty good looking lot. In hand it would be possible to tell if they got a sweet deal or not. Certainly the speculation on the grades led to a pretty high bid price, so I think someone knew that they could do well on the lot if everything plays out.

Best of luck to that buyer!

Attic finds always seem to prove to be either really great or really disappointing.
