Okay, time to let the cat out of the bag. The reason for this thread was a fun attempt to show the (to me) laughable disparity between what the very same card is 'worth' before and after grading. The problem is almost nobody (thanks, Rick) posted prices in the thread. However, I did get quite a few offers to buy via PM. Each was less than $4 for the Seaver card and less than $50 (much, much less) for the Choo Choo. (There were also others with trade offers, but those aren't pertinent to the topic at hand.) Granted, I only had the thread up for a day, and the people trying to buy were obviously vying to get the cards for as little as possible, so it's not really a great experiment , but here are the same cards shown residing in their new slabs...



If I asked for prices now, certainly everyone would agree (except for the usual contrarians) that $4 and $50 are waaaaaaaaaaay off base, right?
