I am super excited to get this one:
As a refresher for those who might not know the history, Les Darcy is a HOFer with virtually no career issued cards. He died suddenly of a bacterial infection in early 1917 at age 21 but, like Mexican great Salvador Sanchez (killed in a car wreck at age 22), Darcy was so talented that he'd already secured a legacy worthy of a HOF induction. Since his career started in 1910 and spanned only a bit over six years, the cards that do exist (1922 Davies & Herbert, 1920s Romeo y Julieta, 1932 Sweetacres, 1933 BDV Tobacco) are post-career cards, which leaves this 1915 fight promo card as his only career contemporary card. Since that is what I aim to have for every HOFer, it has been on my 'buy if you see it' list for years.
