You do realize that your $2.00 bet would only yield a $182.00 profit, right? I would rather spend the $2.00 on cigarette packs. Let’s assume you only obtain common cards. Just one great shaped T206 common card would exceed your $182.00 profit, and cover your particular scenario’s opportunity cost. The remaining commons are then pure profit.

However, let’s assume you obtain just one great shaped hall-of-farmer card...

I don’t see any scenario that buying that racing ticket is a better idea than cigarette packs. To each his own.
