Default Happy Father's Day

... to all the fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, etc.

A collecting friend of mine made this shirt for me, and I bought an extra one for my dad as a Father's Day gift. Some of you know, I collect Grover Hartley because he was the manager of the 1940 Findlay Oilers of the Ohio State League, whom my grandpa played for that year (and my great uncle the year before). Hartley had a long, off-and-on career that afforded him the opportunity to play for and with some of the greatest to ever grace the game of baseball.

Featured on the shirt is a custom card of my grandpa based on the 1940 Play Ball set (the year he played in the minors), one of my T207 Grover Hartley cards, my 1917 Boston Store John McGraw, and my T200 Fatima NY Natl. Hartley played for John McGraw, as shown in the T200, which features Hartley, McGraw, Christy Mathewson, Rube Marquardt, Jim Thorpe, and more.

Pretty cool family connect-the-dots connection to done of the greats. Enjoy your Father's Day.
