39 strikeouts, thrown by guys that bore no resemblance to Spahn or Marichal. Less than one man left on base per inning, not for each team but combined. And somewhere--who am I kidding, most everywhere-- the analytics guys are patting themselves on the back saying see, if you wanna win in this game you have to hit the long ball.
Oh, how I wish yesterday's Tampa-Cleveland game was only hypothetical.
