Julie VognarI think the worst thing is trusting someone, having gotten a few good deals with him, ahd then all of a sudden therre's a big squirt of tobacco juice in the middle of a T206 that showed a very faint stain in his scan... my FEELINGS get hurt! Why, he wouldn't do that to ME, heh, heh.
It can work the other way, too. Verkman sold me a trimmed '33 Goudey (G-O-U-D-E-Y is part of his phone number, you know?). For 2-3 years, I'd look at his catalogues each month, and buy nothing. Then he came out with this HUMOUNGUS list of M101-2s--I wanted the Joe Jackson. They told me over the phone that it had DEFINITELY not been trimmed, but there was a crease just above his hairline that went all the way across the card, which someone had done a pretty good job of getting rid of. I bought it. I had my army (Mark Macrae) here 1/2 hour after it arrived, and Mark said it was fine, not overpriced, not trimmed etc.
So you shouldn't give up on someone just because they rob you blind once, either.
