this card has been listed and relisted for months now with no bids. Finally, this guy bites on the card, and what does he do? he immediately relists it at double the price with a BIN of $550 to everybody who passed on it however many times in the first place.

Okay, calling him an idiot may have been a little harsh on my part. But it is obvious that this guy has no idea what he's doing. But you're right- nobody is being forced to bid on the card, and it's unlikely anyone ever will.
