Brian C DanielsIronically, there used to be this old wheel chair riddled man named Charlie Rose that custom made gloves for several major league players in the 60's and early 70's that owned a batting cage baseball equipment shop here close to San Francisco. I have seen Willie Mays and McCovey,Cepeda and Gene Tenace with is gloves.I bought one and also purchased a "Nokoma" "AMG-400" 2-b glove in which he would engrave your signature into the glove just like the custom gloves he made for pro players. It surely was a psychological performance enhancer. Charlie died at a ripe old age some 14 years ago but they still use his name to sponsor the local little league & high school uniform shop.
