Default how to tell a real allen&ginter from a fake

Posted By: FatBoy

shoo,

and before i start, david rudd's (hankron) website is the place to become educated on this http://www.cycleback.com"

in a nutshell - a&gs were printed via a stone litho process. if you put a real card under magnification, you'll see an irregular (in size, shape and distance between) dot pattern. today this printing technique is too costly and troublesome to reproduce, its much more easily done with color copiers, scans, photos from which a printing plate can be produced, etc etc, a multitude of ways. when looking at a fake under magnification, you'll see a dot patern that is regular (they'll be equidistant, be the same size and be round in shape, almost like looking at your tv screen close up, the real card's dots look like little blobs or amoebas with no real visible pattern) hope this helps, but i'd recommend the link sited above, keith
