Given the limited traffic on here, I'm not sure why people can't post for sales or wants. We had this discussion when the memorabilia forum started, and no one got too fussed about it. I appreciate that this may be different from the main board where the traffic needs direction, but here I think we're happy whenever someone new posts, for whatever reason. There may be some merit in having the same rules for all forums, but I don't know if overcomes the benefit of encouraging postings of all sorts to the memorabilia side.
And in any event, many posts are thinly disguised posts for wants or solicitations for sales. (BTW always buying baseball books 
)
