I am just trying to explode the myth that large auction houses magically get higher prices, since I am the owner of a small auction house.

What the large auction houses do get is better consignments, so of course those items will achieve great prices.

Not a big deal, just thought I'd like to get a shot at a great piece like that too (if it were real).
