as the auction description states, these helmets are exact replicas of the first major league helmets (that were first worn around 1941). what i'm wondering is if any of u guys have seen these replica helmets before (in an unsigned state); at first i thought they were an item that cooperstown collection currently produces, but judging by most of the autographs on them that i can discern, many of the players are deceased and have been so for many years (for example, vic lombardi--who signed the dodgers helmet--passed away in december 1997, which means these helmets are at least 11 years old). i dont know if they still produce these helmets or when they originally did, so any help would be much appreciated.
