Althought I have been collecting baseball cards for many years, I'm new to vintage cards. I am a huge baseball fan (Dodgers are my team) and am not happy with the attitudes of the modern day player. I will continue to watch games and support the Dodgers, but am going to limit collecting modern cards.

I have decided to concentrate on older cards fromt the 50's, 60's and some 70's.

I found the old cardboard site and like it as well as this forum.

Do you have any suggetstions on where I can read about vintage cards as well as the pre war cards?

I plna on collecting cards of Dodgers players. Where can I do research on cards such as the tobacco ones?

Also, I know it depends on the condition of the card and the player, but can you collect these pre war cards without breaking the bank?
