GARY - I agree!
However to have a year go by and have no one elected into Cooperstown would be a bad business decison for the Hall Of Fame. They generate huge revenue w/ each years induction. There are thousands of visitors during HOF weekend and all pay admission to visit the Hall be it individually or through membership. They issue commemorative bats, plates, lithos, FDC's and yearly programs. Plus the town is also connected. Local hotel/motel/B&B's are sold out months in advance, the resturants and local business thrive as well.
Quite frankly it puts Cooperstown on the map, even ESPN covers the induction ceremonies. To many, not having a HOF yearly induction is like not having a World Series.
