Default 1916 M101-4/5

Posted By: Tom

I was comparing two cards a 1916 M101-4 of # 37 Joe Connolly with a Standard Biscuit Company listed on the back and the other card is a 1916 M101-5 # 28 Frank Chance with a 60X microscope. The Frank Chance card had a wide gap between the black line and the border and the Joe Connolly card had no wide gap at all between the black line and the border. The most interesting thing I found is looking at both cards together under the 60X microscope the paper stock is of the same type a tarnish looking color like brass is the best I can describe with signs of purple in both cards. The fibers in the paper stock of both cards are a perfect match. I was always to believe that all wide gaps 1916 M101 were counterfeit. What gives with this?
