These are two totally different publication formats - "Old Cardboard", at least the one issue I have received so far, focuses on interesting esoteric card issues, while VCBC has more main-stream stuff and also a lot of history and non-card items related to baseball.

I think if "Old Cardboard" included a few articles on mainstream cards that the less affluent collectors can identify with (t206s, t205s, Cracker Jacks, e95s, Goudeys, etc.), VCBC would disappear...if it hasn't already.
