PASJDGilbert maybe I misunderstood you but the title of your thread is "It is baseball's fault." That suggested to me, oddly enough, that you were blaming baseball and saying Rose was "sick" and therefore not culpable. On what basis do you say baseball "should have known" about Rose's problem? As for the union, I think you are being naive, they have resisted drug testing for years, although surely you would agree that if a player has a drug problem it is in his interest to be treated.
