I can understand what you are saying about autographs, but in baseball collecting its to each his own. Though I do have some cards, it is definitely autographs that appeal to me. Can't explain it, don't understand, I ain't never felt that way about cards . Whose song am I paraphrasing? That said, I have been discovering on this board that the card market has plenty to worry about too . Until I became a regular here, I had no idea that the problems in cards were so plentiful. Trimming, bleaching, stain removal, fake cards being doctored up. Unfortunately there are posts on this board asking the regulars if this or that is actually real. Makes it sound like the autograph hobby .But what fun would collecting be without some crooked people trying to fleece us ?? .-----------I refuse to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent.
