Scott ForrestI was sick and had to listen to it on the radio in bed. Those announcers were horrid. Joe Morgan knows absolutely everything (in his own mind). And the other guy is basically as baseball-literate as Skip Carey.
The other night a Chicago player struck out with the bases loaded, but Ausmus dropped the ball. So the announcer noted that Ausmus stepped on the plate to get the force at home, since the runner could go to first!?! Has there been a rule change that I'm not aware of? And what the heck is a "fowel ball"? At least Morgan can speak common English. Sour grapes maybe, but at least if I have to listen to us lose without even putting up a fight, I'd like to hear the game announced by people who know baseball.
