ofen a name(like lajoie) is pronounced differently by members of the same family. "lajoie was purported to prefer lah-zhwa,most said laj-way" this is from the 1988 SABR pub. by J.M.Murphy that deals solely on nap lajoie. thats why he got the nickname larry because thats as close a team-mate at that time (1896)could come to either pronunciation.
