Joe Gordon....better than his contemporary Bobby Doerr and lost two prime years to WW2. A key member of multiple Yankee championship teams as well as the '48 champion Indians.

Cecil Travis.....Possible 3,000 hit career derailed by WW2 (frostbite during Battle of the Bulge).

Pete Browning...A dominant hitter
