My Dad lives in downtown NYC and did at the time the planes hit the towers. I was working in Chicago a half block from the Hancock building when the news got to us, it sent us racing for the doors and cel phones to find loved ones, urging them home until we knew more. I had been in this country just 9 months and married merely six, but I feel weaved into the fabric of what it means to be American regardless, its pain and fortitude rolled in together.

My love hope and prayers go to everyone today, and for friends to feel our united and enduring spirit.
