Frank WakefieldA few years ago I won a lot of a dozen or so ZeeNuts on eBay. I immediately paid for the auction. The next day I get an email from a fellow up north, New York I think. He was desperate to have the 1928 Sid Cohen ZeeNut that was in the lot. He said name a price. I told him I'd like to wait until I got them, before I sold one. He emailed back saying he and his son were close to completing ZeeNuts, this Cohen was one of the few he lacked, and he'd pay $100 for it. It had typical wear...
I emailed a couple of collectors who I thought knew more about ZeeNuts than I, and they both thought it not a rare card, that Cohen was Jewish, but not a rarity. So I emailed the guy and said I'd sell, $100 instantly appeared in my Paypal account. And I sent the card out the same day.
My recollection is that I scanned the card before I mailed it. I'll post that if I find it.
Frank.
