I think the winning price was low. 1893 writing date, Dummy Hoy, SF baseball, original envelope, morphine for some color. Hard to get much better.

Star players signatures signed in 1800s in any form are rare. I've had a few 19th century stars autographs, but they were all signed in the 1900s, long after they had retired.
