Ricky YRed Sox have two things going...smart baseball people in the organzation combined with the big financial resources. They have a good mix of young and old, home grown talent and smart free agent acquisitions. They seem to spend their money wisely. Yankees have done a good job with their killer lineup but they haven't done as well in putting together their pitching staff. Ofcourse its luck too...Okajima was basically signed to provide a Japanese teammate for Matsuzaka but ended up being an intergal part of their bullpen.
