SteveI wonder if Joe gave a rat's ass that Nappy lost his ranking or were they loyal teammates during Joe's tenure. That picture does provoke a lot of questions. The doggy adds a nice touch as well.
*This is a 1913 Fatima cigarettes baseball card of the Cleveland Naps, Joe is standing second from the left. Note the dog in the center of the picture, he was owned by Jack Graney (seated fourth from the left, front row), a very good friend of Joe's... The dog was known to run out of the dugout during the games and run down foul balls and sometimes even run down balls in play... Needless to say the mascot was a fan favorite in Cleveland.* source, Blackbetsy.com
