To me, it is the bottom edge that looks suspect, as the corners appear somewhat bat-eared. On the other hand, there is an unusually large top border that does not appear trimmed, which is a good fact for two reasons: (1) it gives comfort that the narrower bottom border is the original width and (2) it begs the question -- why would someone trim the bottom but not the top when the top has all that extra border?

In the end it's impossible to tell for sure on those scans. Who knows. Personally, I'd spend the same money on a low grade, graded one, and not gamble on raw Southern Leaguers.

But of course, with all the slab altering, it's becoming a crap shoot all around.
