Very doubtful. Joe's BA for the fifty-six game streak was "only" .408. To bring that up to even .424 (the post 1900 record for an entire season) in another fourteen games Joe would have had to have an epic hot streak. Besides that we can assume that any of the players that batted over .400 in a season had seventy game spans that were far above .400 if not .450.
