That has happened to me multiple times-- it's exasperating to go to that trouble and then get no reply at all. If the card you posted was in a different thread weeks later, you might figure the person looking for the card didn't see the post, but in the same thread, you have to assume he saw it, and should absolutely reply.
Bottom line: I remember the names of the people who didn't reply to my offers, and I'll hesitate to deal with them in the future.
