Anthony N.I've found items sell MUCH faster as fixed price vs. store listings. I usually start off listing as fixed price, and after a week put them into my store. When it comes close to 30 days shift them to fixed price for a week, and typically a large % sell.
Having a few items in fixed price listings will also drive some traffic to your store, so they feed off each other.
If nothing else I like having the store so that I can quickly convert them to fixed price on ebay dump days. You typically get less than 48 hours notice of those, and having them ready to go makes it much more likely to take advantage of the listing special.
