I also scanned the copy of the issue of Pacific Coast News it came from (Sept.10,1948)it has all the stats on the back including the Boston yrs. Different than what your thinking of Macrae said he has seen a handful but know one knew till now what they were. It ill be in next yrs annual. Very unique Ruth item. Leon will post it with the copy of the article. Thank you.
