Tim NewcombI thought your post deserved a reply-- however, I don't have any expertise with grading these cards. Maybe someone else does. I have collected these sets for a while now with my usual "flexible" attitude toward condition. Here are a few thoughts:
I have seen more high-grade R311 Leathers than Glossies-- don't know why. Most Leathers seem readily available, no scarcities that I can see.
Some of the R311 Glossies (most of the HOFers) are as common as dirt, at least in lower grades, but some of the commons (Martin and Rowe) and team cards (Braves, Dodgers) are extremely difficult.
R303A are a whole lot tougher than R303B. I think R303A is a very underrated set in terms of difficulty, yet it's not that expensive. R303C I have paid little attention to, but they are also pretty scarce.
