One of the most effective "one-two" punches in the post-war BB scene was Allie Reynolds starting and Joe Page finishing.
Especially, in the 1947 and 1949 seasons. Page consistently could come into the game in the 6th or 7th innings and totally
shut down formidable opposing teams such as the Red Sox or the Dodgers.

A 6:3 tall Southpaw from the mountains of Pennsylvania, Joe Page was the greatest relief pitcher I ever saw (over a short span).
