Tim Sanders felt it was a type of price manipulation. I found that to be an interesting point of view and had never thought of it that way. I guess your perspective would differ if you're mostly a buyer or a seller. I am almost 100% a buyer.
I see sniping as a means of protecting myself from shilling, and even if no shill is involved, as a means to keep from getting my bids run up to the max.
I can see where, from the seller's point of view, having everyone snipe could be nerve-wracking.
What does everyone else think?
