The "market" for these cards has always struck me as very, very strange.
If a Babe Ruth cut is worth $3000, why is it worth $9000, when it is placed on a manufactured card, with a scarcity that is delibrately created by the manufacturer. And the manufacturers have little or no regard for the quality of the autograph, I have seen signatures that appear on these cards with letters missing, tops and bottoms of letters cut off and other things wrong with the card such as ghost signed signatures and signatures of players paired up with the picture of another player. As an autograph dealer, I know my customers would not be buying autographs with letters missing, etc.
