Default FS: 1926 OAL Ball Yankees/Tigers Game Used - Pennock signed

UPDATE: I've put this ball up on ebay...feel free to PM or email to make an offer (see info below).

OAL ball, game-used by Detroit Tigers at NY Yankees, 8/27/1926. Herb Pennock pitched the game and signed the ball on the sweet spot, but his signature has been traced over (as has nearly all the writing on the ball). Comes with LOA from PSA/DNA authenticating Pennock's signature. Pat Collins signature is deemed clubhouse.

Side panel reads: "Red Wingo (illegible word) last hitter in the 9th inning for Detroit struck out on this ball to end the game".

The Reach Official American League ball itself is in great condition. Stampings are all fully readable (the Ban Johnson stamp is a bit scraped) and the stitching is tight and bright all around.

All in all a great 1920's game used ball, thrown from the mound by HOFer Herb Pennock. The value would obviously be multiples of the asking price if the Pennock signature wasn't traced over.

$800 shipped. Paypal okay. A day or so here and the ball will probably go to ebay as a BIN.

PM or email to semloh00 (at) yahoo.com.

Thanks,
Ray
