Very cool idea. I was going to do something similar ('52-modern), then I decided to go for a signed HOFer from those years, which has presented more of a challenge.

I don't know much about the T cards, but good luck finding the Goudey Ruth & Gehrig for under $500. I have both of those and the Ruth (which is graded a 1, but presents well) was well over that.
