It will be quite interesting, because Verlander himself says he pitches better on four days rest, rather than five or more. It's been terrific watching him on large screen, high def here in Detroit--this guy has reared back and hit 101 mph in the later innings consistently when he needed to, yet has an unbelievable falling off the table curve thrown from exactly the same arm slot at 79 mph or so, plus a nifty change in the upper '80's with screwball type action, breaking down and in to the righties, and a slider that's progressed well beyond the work in progress stage and into a real out pitch itself!
I also saw him pitch live twice, and wouldn't you know it, he actually lost one of those, to the White Sox some time ago.
My hunch is that he gets to 25 wins.
