I am amidst self-publishing via Amazon Kindle ebook and perfect bound copies by theBookPatch.com. As a first time author it is incredibly difficult to get exposure for projects. Though the Amazon Kindle First Time Authors Forum has been very helpful:

Thus far, what has worked far more efficiently is readings at libraries, museums, and historical societies. The local publicity; newspaper articles, and forum announcements have produced more ebook sales than any methodology offered by ADP.
