I am told he was stunned and lit up like a Christmas tree when he saw it. He reported he hadn’t seen one in 50 years. I wish I had been there because I’m told he told a cool story about Steve Blass day in his small home town. He is a master storyteller. I wish they had taken a photo of him holding it. I suppose that would have been greedy of me. Blass and Manny Sanguillen also signed my Game 7 ticket stub for me.
