Default SGC crossover to PSA success

I was looking for some input on guys that tried crossing over some of their SGC cards to PSA. What kind of success have you guys had? Judging by pricing off VCP it seems like PSA would grade an 8 down to a 7 or so. I was looking at buying a 1938 Goudey Joe Dimaggio #274 SGC 88 (8). The VCP lists it at $10,000…..but PSA 8 lists for$24,000-33,000. A PSA 7 to 7.5 is slightly over $7000. So what would PSA grade an SGC 8? Do I buy a PSA 7 for $7000 and save $3000? LOL It gets confusing because I feel better buying PSA graded cards knowing I am getting a card that was graded with very strict standards. It seems when I buy SGC graded cards, I wonder if I overpaid because the card might have gotten a higher grade than it deserved. I like the look of pre war cards in SGC holders but I feel better knowing the card I own got the grade it truly deserved. What are some of your thoughts?
