If I had to spend it all on one card, I'd get the best 1934 Goudey Lou Gehrig I could get for that price. This card and a Ruth from the prior year have topped my want list for about 40 years! To this day I don't have "real cards" of either player.
If I needed to split it across two cards, I would love to grab 1941 Play Balls of Ted Williams and Joe D to put side-by-side.
And I gotta say I'd at least be tempted--since I'm not too picky about condition--to see how close I could get to a Topps/Bowman/Leaf/Play Ball/Fleer run of Ted Williams. (Of course I'd rather have $3K for this one.)
