Anthony N.I saw a penny '60 pack a year or two ago. It didn't go for much- '60 packs in general seem more plentiful and less expensive than '59 or '61's, but the penny packs in '60 seem scarcer than '59's.
Jason, I understood there would be little math in this hobby so I've tried to keep it simple. I like them because they look cool! I think from a purely business sense I'd get a better return wiring 10K to a Nigerian ex general than I would busting open an old pack. As far as exercising restraint they reside 360 days a year in a dark safety deposit box, ridding me of any temptation.
I did ask a friend of mine (DaveB, on the boards here) who is an MRI tech if any sort of medical imaging would reveal what was inside. He's still laughing at me for asking that.
