John SThere are a number of dealers/quassi dealers who do this. It is frustrating. In a free market atmosphere you could buy a Joe Charboneau rookie for a dime and list it for $1000. It is on the rare items where the dealers really have the upper edge. Buyers get impatient and pay 200% over book for an item that they are afraid they may never have the opportunity to purchase again.
